Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. [6] He serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) for Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineering. In the United States, he attained an M.S. from Stanford University in materials science and engineering . He also earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in which he was awarded the Siebel Scholar and an Palmer Scholar, respectively.Pchai began his career as a material engineer. Following a brief stint at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. In Google, he was in charge of the development of Google Drive as well as product management and innovation. Pichai also oversaw the development of Google Maps, Gmail, and other applications. In the year 2010, Pichai also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video VP8 by Google and unveiled the new format for video, WebM. 2012 saw the debut of Chromebook. Pichai was the director of the release of Android in 2012, also added Android to the list of Google products.
