Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer who is regarded as one of the members of the group One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own group of musicians with three classmates, which was dubbed White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they took home the trophy. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to become a lawyer, physiotherapist or even scout. In the past, he was employed as a part-time baker within his town with the aim of helping economically at home. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 for The X Factor. This meant that his group had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form a group named One Direction after the X The X. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would be Sucking Without You together with Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. In consequence, they were one of the finalist. But they finished 3rd place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds with One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
